At Celsia, we are convinced that – in order to grow and remain over time – we must be profitable and have respectful, responsible behavior towards our society. We understand that the relationship with the different Stakeholders is a key axis to create shared value, to achieve our purpose and to fulfill our MEGA. For this reason, we maintain clear, transparent, timely and constructive two-way communication.
We are agile and reliable; we recognize, respect and value each Stakeholders and their particularities. For this reason, we characterize, prioritize and approved them, and – for each one – we establish different physical and virtual mechanisms to deal with their requests in a clear, transparent and agile manner.
We highlight that 100% of our assets and projects have impact evaluations and promote and value the participation of communities.
We prioritize social-investment initiatives that contribute to the well-being and quality of life of the communities in the areas of influence of our operation and new projects, and which also represent a benefit for the Company. We promote alliances with other organizations to develop projects with a positive impact:

Where we strengthened community-based organizations, implemented spaces for dialogue and participation with the community, and promoted and carried out productive processes or projects based on the agricultural and livestock vocation of the territories.
We developed community infrastructure, such as the improvement of roads and highways: we developed 39 actions and projects for the construction and improvement of community infrastructure, thereby benefitting more than 19,000 people. We highlight 20 projects and actions focused on improving roads and highways.
We delivered more than 15,500 school kits and supported the education sector in programs and projects aimed at teacher qualification and school strengthening: we supported schools with digital material to strengthen environmental education, the good use of resources and clean energy.
We benefitted more than 610 people through the improvement of internal networks and rural electrification: this is how we contribute to the electrical safety of homes and the optimization of energy consumption.
We managed and executed road infrastructure and education projects for the benefit of more than 21,000 in the people in the Departments of Valle del Cauca, Cauca and Tolima, Colombia.
How did we respond to COVID-19?
The year 2020 was a period of great change. The health emergency led us to do things differently, to change face-to-face encounters for virtuality, to reinvent ourselves, to ratify our commitment to creating shared value with all our Stakeholders, and to remain connected.
Committed to development, we gave priority to attending the needs of the communities generated by the pandemic in all the areas surrounding our operation: we delivered more than 17,266 nutritional kits that benefitted more than 32,900 people; we donated more than 3,200,000 liters of water, 1,565,704 bio-protection supplies, 517 medical equipment; and we provided support on health issues through donations, through the Grupo Argos Foundation, for the adaptation of beds in intensive care units.
